	Sponsorship in several regions

If you want to sponsor a child, please write to Mr Jean Delattre, President of A.A.M.I. who will propose you to participate in the development of a child whose photo will be sent to you, including the coordinates of the sister who is responsible in India or in Madagascar.

We shall ask for a flat amount of 50 Swiss francs or 31 Euros or 30 US Dollars, this sum will cover the costs of the file, photos and subscription to the newsletter of AAMI. Thereafter, each month, the sum of CHF 30 or 20 Euros or 19 US dollars will be sent to the sister who is in charge of the child. You can settle your contribution in one payment for the whole year, in 2 instalments semi-annually, quarterly or monthly through bank transfer, postal or bank check which we kindly ask you to draw to the credit of A.A.M.I.

By sponsoring a child, you give him the means to develop in his environment, amongst his kinds and in keeping permanent contact with his roots, his culture, his religion and his natural surroundings. You will give him the means to get out of the "cloak" of ignorance through an appropriate education and thus the means to grow up in life with equal chances as compared to his more advantaged neighbours. The money is often also used to bring to the family an assistance ( healthcare to the children, clothes, repairs to the huts, etc…) Besides, 30% of the money is used for the community of children who are present in the centre so as not to advantage only the sponsored child. Thus, this fraction is used to buy cereals, clothes, school books, sanitary etc…

In India, the sectors from which children are sponsored are from Madagascar and South India: Mathagondapalli, and from North India: Varanasi. The children live in orphanages or centre are educated in the schools run by the Franciscan sisters. We take care of the most destitute children in priority, the Harijans, the education is in native language.

At present, we sponsor 35 children in India and Madagascar. More children are waiting for our generous sponsors who would be willing to take them by hand for a part of the journey together.
