In
2001 on the land which has the training campus of I.N.E.CA. (Indo
European Charitable Association) managed by Mr Joseph Abraham, we
have jointly with A.N.S.M.F.I.S. and A.A.M.I., our two Franco-Swiss
associations, constructed a building to serve as a training centre
for technology and computing, geared for the youth of the rural
areas. This training will cover three phases, Initiation to informatics,
general training, then specialization. These courses will be for
fees, but in the logic of our humanitarian missions, 20 % of the
students will be reserved for the poor who cannot afford to pay.
We must know that there are several small scale industries using
informatics in the region, and the trainees from INECA will be able
to find a job. In a first phase, a dozen boys and girls will follow
this informatics course. Thereafter, according to the needs, we
may increase the numbers.
Always at Mathagondapalli, in the southern
parts of our construction, we have put up a guesthouse that can
accommodate 4 persons – and this in reply to the several requests
from our members and donators who would like to visit the children
whom they are sponsoring in the region. We plan to increase the
capacity of this guesthouse, so as to alleviate the Franciscan sisters
who do not have the same facilities to lodge our visitors.
For this project, our associations
have invested FRF 120’000.- over a period of two years.
We shall have to increase our capacity
to receive more students in informatics, given the requests emanating
from the youth of the region. Increase the size of the rooms, their
numbers, buy new computers according to the number of students.
Here also, we count on your help.
Thank you for joining us in this great
family of donators to this project History of the project.
History
of the project
Since
some years our associations have acquired a piece of land of 8000
square metres on which, after having brought the facilties of water
and electricity, we have built training workshops to give training
for skills in mecanics, components, and for 1999 we have planned
to include new branches. After 3 years, I.N.E.C.A.
obtained from the Authorities the required licence. In 1998, the
authorities have renewed this licence and has authorised INECA to
continue other educational projects for the most disadvantaged segments
of the population. We have pledged to finance the construction of
part of the new training workshops, up to 4 Lakhs over 2 years,
about CHF 16'750, whereas our Indian sister organisation will, on
her side, find the remaining financing to complete sucessfully the
project. The members of this Indian Association deserve our merit:
they have every one of them, an occupation, a profession but, willing
to help their neighbours to stand on their feet, they do not leave
any stone unturned, to oversee and realize their solidarity for
the benefit of the poor people. We are very proud to help them,
and we hope that many other persons will in their turn, come to
help us on this journey of solidarity where our sole benefit is
to see a smile that illuminates the faces of these youngsters when
they can, at the end of their training, show us their certificates.
Document that will get them rapidly a job in this industrialised
region of South India.
We plan to add new workshops for new disciplines: carpentry,
welding, general mecanics, etc…
